CORONAVIRUS ADVICE | updated 4/1/24

We are following the latest advice from the Scottish Government and are open for all of our usual eyecare services.

Due to the close proximity required for an eye examination it is still a requirement that you confirm that you do not have any symptoms which may indicate Covid-19 or any other respiratory illness.

If you have any of these symptoms:

  • Feeling unwell?

  • High temperature or fever?

  • New, continuous cough?

  • Change in sense of taste or smell?

  • Sore throat, stuffy or runny nose?

  • Any other symptoms of a respiratory virus?

  • Unusual headache?

you will be asked to delay or reschedule a routine appointment until you have recovered.

If you have any of these symptoms and an urgent eye problem please call for advice - we will still be able to see you using PPE and when others are not in the practice.

We have installed air cleaners to make the practice as safe as possible and are happy if you still wish to wear a face covering.

As always we have emergency appointments available for any urgent eye problem - please call if you need advice.

We are also still able to provide remote consultations to avoid you having to attend the practice - using NHS Attend Anywhere if necessary. Please call if you would like to arrange this.

We are prioritising essential eyecare as always. We are sending reminder letters but these are still a few months behind - if you have any concerns please call and we can arrange to see you, you do not have to wait for the letter.

SPECTACLE REPAIRS

If you have a problem with your glasses please let us know and we will be able to help. You can hand them in or post them through the door (with a note of your name), we will repair them and let you know when they can be collected.

Most suppliers are able to supply parts at the moment and we have a good supply of spares to keep you going if there is a problem.

CONTACT LENSES

We are able to provide routine contact lens check-ups so we will contact you when this is due.
